Use the snorkelling equipment to explore over coral reefs, then view the water below through the boat’s glass bottom. The boat tour adds an underwater viewing experience without requiring you to snorkel for that part of the visit.

Head uphill or learn about turtle conservation

The Summit Lookout gives your island exploration a destination above the shoreline. Hike up for a view from above, adding a land-based activity to your time around the water. You can also visit the Cairns Turtle Rehabilitation Centre to learn about conservation. These are places to explore during your island time, with the freedom to choose which stops to make and how to order them.

Your cruise from Cairns

The trip includes the cruise transfer from Cairns to Fitzroy Island and time to explore once you arrive. The full-day outing lasts 8 hours and 15 minutes, so allow that span in your schedule rather than treating it as a short ferry excursion. Arrive 30 minutes before departure. The crossing also brings scenic views into the journey to the island.
